Update January 21, 2024: If you need to contact me during our closure, please have patience and until we get the new business phone line set up, please consider email (giftedearthrocks@gmail.com) or contacting us through our facebook page on messenger. Our former phone number has become a remote voicemail for collecting messages and our old email cancelled with the phone service land line. I am unable to collect and respond to messages daily as my focus is to get up and running again as soon as possible, so please be patient during this transition and temporary closure. Reopening is now projected at mid-February. We are shipping orders from our online store but please expect slight delays in shipping. Most items are still shipping immediately.
Update December 26, 2024: We are temporarily closed while we undergo the final stages of our relocation. We will reopen as soon as possible, projected late January. Thanks for all the love and support in Viroqua. We look forward to seeing you soon in our new location, among the orchards of Gays Mills.
Update October 2024: Autumn is the season of change and I am excited to announce one more big change for the Rockshop…the rock shop is moving! I anticipate to remain in our current location through Christmas and we will relocate to Gays Mills, with a projected reopening in January. The space we are growing into is in an inspirational, yet down-to-earth community with a lot of potential. There will be more information released regarding our new address and location as we get closer to December.
Update October 2024: The rock shop has been on a 10 year plan for a name change and…we are now well into our ninth year under current ownership. It took several years to come to a decision on a solid new business name, one that honors our past, yet better represents our present and future. So, drumroll please… Welcome to Gifted Earth Rock Shop! In the weeks and months to come, you will see us transition fully into our new name. However, our founder, Gary Krause, will continue to have a place in our signage, and in our hearts, and in decisions I make for the business. -Stacie Anthony, owner since 2015
We specialize in metaphysical crystals, mineral specimens, fossils, lapidary equipment, tools & supplies. We carry local rock and fossil specimens from the Midwest (Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, and Iowa) as well as from all other parts of the world, mainly Morocco, Mexico, Madagascar and Brazil. In addition, our customers are guaranteed to find unique gifts made by local owner/artist Stacie Anthony (custom jewelry and artwork) and from around the world, (such as stone carvings, chess sets, lamps, book ends, wind chimes and more). We also carry Fair-Trade and earth-friendly gifts. Our “Gifted Earth” permanent collection features rare and unique specimens used in our educational programs, as well as museum quality show pieces we have acquired.
